About SAS.....
In case you were wondering SAS stands for Susan Ann Sobolevitch, my parents always called me SAS so I decided to change my name when I got married. I would be so thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph your family or wedding. I never lose sight of the importance of the day or the moments I am preserving. I absolutely love photography and love people!
I started my photography career in high school. My parents were both avid photographers and always supported me in my artistic endeavors. I studied photography at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and graduated with a BFA. After college I did photo editing at both Esquire and Redbook Magazines. In 1993, I started shooting images for stock, advertising and editorial markets with my wonderful husband, Rob. We worked hard at learning the craft and it has paid off beautifully. Our work is now represented by Corbis, one of the largest stock photo agencies in the world. My pictures have been used by AT&T, Wyeth, Hallmark, Disney and have appeared in Parents, Family Circle, Child, Ladies Home Journal, USA Today and many other publications worldwide.
My specialty has always been lifestyle images of people leading happy, fulfilling lives. This has spawned a career-within-a-career, me as wedding and family portrait photographer. I am so grateful for my job! There is nothing more rewarding to me than making people feel beautiful and seeing the looks on the faces of happy moms or brides when they get their pictures. Of course, I photograph my own two kids, as well as friends and family, as much as they'll allow.
